FitMirror Privacy Policy
FitMirror ("we", "our", "us") is a Chrome extension that helps users preview fashion items on their own photos. This policy explains what data we process, why we process it, and your controls.
1. Data We Process
- User-uploaded photo (for virtual try-on).
- Selected outfit image from the shopping page.
- Settings and preferences (size, fit mode, language, generation options).
- Saved wishlist/history entries created by the user.
- Technical diagnostics (trace ID, status/error code, timing) for reliability.
2. How Data Is Used
- Generate virtual try-on image results.
- Analyze outfit metadata to improve try-on prompts.
- Store your preferences and saved items.
- Detect and troubleshoot service failures.
3. Where Data Is Stored
- In your browser: user photo, wishlist/history, and settings are stored using Chrome extension storage.
- Remote processing: selected images and prompts are sent to configured AI providers through our proxy server to generate results.
4. Third-Party Services
Depending on configuration, FitMirror may send required request data to third-party model providers for image generation or analysis (for example Anthropic, Replicate, or fal.ai). Their own privacy terms apply to data processed by their services.
5. Data Sharing and Sale
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not use your photos for advertising.
- We only share data with service providers required to perform try-on/analyze requests.
6. Retention and Deletion
- Local extension data remains until you remove it.
- You can delete stored photo/history anytime via the extension "Delete Photo & History" action.
- Proxy-side logs/diagnostics should be retained only as needed for operations and debugging.
7. Chrome Permissions
storage: save preferences, photo reference, history.activeTab/scripting: enable manual outfit selection on the current tab.offscreen: process and resize images before upload.tabs/sidePanel: run the side panel workflow and open result links.
8. Children
FitMirror is not intended for children under 13.
9. Security
We use reasonable safeguards for data in transit and limit processing to what is needed for extension functionality. No system is 100% secure.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page.
